A look back at our wonderful Forest Festival 

We would like to thank all the participants who joined us to celebrate our 5th anniversary and the resource people who helped make this event a success! A loyal supporter of our events and activities for many years, Deschênes Ward Councillor Caroline Murray came to greet us and joined the group.

Claude Martineau, from the Outaouais Ornithologists Club, once again dazzled us with his knowledge and passion during his forest birdwatching hike.

Howard Powles, from the Alliance, for whom the forest holds no secrets, led another group on a hike to discover the trails and the forest environment.

And since there’s no party without cake, everyone enjoyed a delicious slice of cake decorated with the image of the pileated woodpecker, which has been chosen as our city’s bird emblem.
