CyClownes - all smiles at the Marina

The Aylmer CyClownes, known for bringing cheer wherever they go, left nothing but smiles on passing children and adults at des Cèdres Beach on August 3.
Beach visitors were overwhelmed with excitement seeing the CyClownes of Good Cheer show up in flower themed costumes and their signature clown noses around 3:30 pm.
Gathering at the Marina to spread joy, they danced and sang using white linen covered with flowers. While children saw this as the perfect opportunity to run and play around the colourful excitement, adults of all ages were also enjoying the fun, taking pictures and dancing.
Marie-Nicole Lamoureux, Artistic Director for the CyClownes, has been teaching clowning for 11 years. Three years after she began, she decided to take it outdoors, teaching her students in local parks on quiet afternoons, which brought smiles and entertainment to people passing by.
The positive reaction was enough encouragement to take it to the next level. The CyClownes now travel to parks and other public spaces to bring joy and smiles to people’s faces.
“Getting in contact with people is a motivator,” Lamoureux told the Bulletin, while discussing the significance of the group. The CyClownes like to go with the openness of the people, and they want everyone to be entertained, have fun, and feel free.
