“Regional realities”
Free film screening in Aylmer
Lily Ryan
In interview, Judith Matheson explained that Regional Realities is one in a series of films about living in Quebec. This one is about challenges of anglophones in the Ottawa Valley. Produced by Concordia University, Matheson told the Bulletin, “The film explores living as a uni-lingual anglophone. It presents challenges, in particular interacting with the health care system. As we age, helping each other becomes a key part of wellness.”
Following the screening, a conversation will open to go over the film, the topics explored in it and how Aylmerites relate to each other. “In conversations, we can share and feel better,” noted Matheson. “Using and sharing information, we all feel better. We each have roll to play in feeling better. Feeling ignited and united is the way forward.”
