---- Frustrated with CLSC Aylmer blood tests
I am disgusted with the system that has been implemented to obtain an appointment via the Hull Hospital for blood tests at our local CLSC. No matter what time of the business day we call, the lines are constantly busy, and their bogus message to have Bell Canada call you does not work (it is mentioned at the end of their message).
If you do manage to get through, their agonizing 5-plus minutes recorded message will advise you of the wait time for a person to take your information. I was able to get through only once in 4 days of trying -- and still ended up waiting on line for over 40 minutes, without ever getting anyone to take the information required for an appointment.
It seems as though there is a conspiracy to send people to commercial blood-test businesses, at a cost of over $40 per test.
With Covid-19, everything has slowed down considerably, but to call this a service to the public is a farce. I have gone to our National Assembly's MNA's office, complained, and was later informed that more phone lines and additional staff had been added. So far, there has been no change, as I require blood tests every two months.
Come election time, I hope that people will remember this of Mssrs. Legault and Fortin, and inform them via the ballot that service to their constituents is of prime importance. I am frustrated!
