Gatineau man arrested for multiple sexual assaults on minors

Patrick Nzoberera, a 31-year-old resident of Gatineau, was arrested at his home in the Hull sector on the afternoon of July 6, 2022 by officers of the Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG). Mr. Nzoberera was arrested following an investigation into several assaults on minors and complaints from three victims against him. Following his arrest, the individual was taken to the police station where he was able to meet with the investigators on file and then remained in custody until his appearance the next day. At his July 7 appearance in Quebec Court, Mr. Nzoberera was charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual interference with a person under the age of 16, luring a person under the age of 16, and sexual interference with a person under 16, luring a person under the age of 18, obtaining sexual services from a person under the age of 18 in exchange for money, and transmitting sexually explicit material to a person under the age of 16.
Few details have been released by the SPVG in this case involving minor victims. Although the link between the victims and the accused has not been disclosed, the SPVG mentions in a press release that "the investigation is still ongoing" and that "other charges could be added".
