---Gatineau Police arrest 39-year-old man on child porn charges

On February 25, Gatineau Police (SPVG) arrested 39-year-old Gatineau sector resident, Jocelyn Laurin for possessing and producing child pornography.

According to a press release issued by the SPVG on March 11, the arrest took place following a police raid – warranted by previous investigations – of a residence on rue Fortin. During the intervention, the press release noted that police located files containing pornographic pictures and videos of under-aged children. It added that the man had also filmed certain videos containing child pornography, which legally constitutes the production of child porn material.

Police then detained Jocelyn on site and brought him to the police station to be interrogated, noting that he appeared in front of the provincial tribunal and is awaiting his next court date, according to the SPVG.
