--- Gatineau Police arrest nine individuals for narcotics trafficking and possession of illegal weapons

The Gatineau Police arrested nine individuals for possession and trafficking of narcotics, in addition to possession of prohibited weapons. The arrests on February 3 followed after a series of narcotic search warrants conducted at six different residences, according to a statement released by police.
The searches of the residences were conducted across different sectors of Gatineau, with one in Aylmer, three in Hull and two in Gatineau.
The list of items seized by police officers included $30,891 in cash, 26.5 grams of cocaine, 47 ecstasy tablets, a set of items used for packaging narcotics, a can of cayenne pepper, a bulletproof vest, 23.22 caliber ammunition, knives, a sword, 36 cell phones, a machine for counting money and an American fist, a prohibited weapon.
Police also found 40 grams of brown substance that resembled heroine and 194.7 grams of a crystalline substance which looked similar to meth. Both substances are in the process of being analyzed by Gatineau Police.
