Knights of Columbus bring community together, donate back with walleye dinners
Jude Osmond
Knights of Columbus fed the community again with its monthly walleye dinner on Friday, September 25. They host walleye dinners once a month to give back to their community and members by providing a warm meal.
The dinner costs $ 25 per plate and includes a choice of well-cooked fish or tender chicken, accompanied by a slice of rice, coleslaw, and bread, plus a dessert.
Most of the revenue from the event is going toward the Aylmer Food Bank, L’Autre Chez-Soi, and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
A live performance from the local band Unison took place throughout the night. Knights of Columbus host a walleye dinner on the last Friday of each month until November, as the next one will be on October 30 with a Halloween atmosphere.
