Maude Marquis-Bissonnette back in mayoral seat ahead of Mario Aubé in nail-biting race

Sophie Demers

Maude Marquis-Bissonnette, leader of Action Gatineau, was re-elected Sunday night after a tight race with opponent Mario Aubé. Marquis-Bissonnette won with 41,569 votes (51.14%) while Mario Aubé received 38,208 votes (47%). Independent candidate Rémi Bergeron received 1,518 votes (1.87%).

A total of 82,257 Gatineau residents cast their vote representing 41.18% voter turnout.
