ODO continues public consultation tour to engage Outaouais residents

L’Observatoire du développement de l’Outaouais (ODO) is continuing its large-scale public consultation tour across the region, inviting residents to share their ideas, concerns, and lived experiences to help shape the future of their communities.

The initiative, launched at the end of October, began with a consultation session on October 30 in Angers rural, Angers, Angers Sud, and Du Ruisseau. Several more meetings are planned in November in sectors across Gatineau and the Pontiac. ODO is gathering input on a wide range of topics, including services for families, quality of life for seniors, access to transportation, neighbourhood vitality, and community infrastructure, such as schools and parks.

Residents are encouraged to identify their community on the project’s website, according to their sector or MRC. Once identified, they can complete a short questionnaire and register for the consultation associated with their area. Depending on the status of each consultation, residents may be able to attend a scheduled session, register for an upcoming one, or share their views online even if the session in their community has already taken place.

Locations for consultations in November include Plateau Sud-Est, Plateau Centre and Plateau Nord on November 11, De-l’Hôpital, Versant, La Gappe, and L’Oiseau Bleu on November 13, and sessions in the Pontiac region at Rapides-des-Joachims, Sheenboro, Chichester and Waltham on November 20, and in Mansfield-et-Pontefract and Fort-Coulonge on November 25. Additional dates include November 24 in Côte d’Azur, Limbour and Mont-Luc, and November 27 in Plateau Centre-Est and Plateau Nord-Ouest.

ODO stresses that participation is open to all residents and that assistance is available for those needing help identifying their community or accessing the questionnaire.
