Oh, sweet peace!
As I write these lines, snow is falling thick and fast. So much so that the river and sky merge together, the horizon struggling to separate them.
I have just returned from a beautiful hike in Deschênes Park, without encountering a single soul.
The tree branches are covered in snow, and the ground is carpeted with a thick white blanket that muffles the ambient noise. The atmosphere, like the sound of my footsteps, is hushed.
Even the birds are silent. There is such silence, such peace. The forest is not only a refuge for animals. It allows us to escape, for a moment, from the often aggressive hubbub of urban life. It calms and relaxes, offering a peaceful and beneficial environment conducive to reflection. Oh, sweet peace!
