Spring Cleaning
Every spring, as soon as the weather starts to warm up, we rush to put away our winter boots and clothes, shovels, and snowblowers. It’s finally time to break out the rakes and gardening tools. That’s when the big cleanup of our lawns and gardens begins. But let’s not stop there.
This year, we invite you to take concrete action for the environment by participating in the spring cleanup of Deschênes Park. The event will take place on Sunday, April 26, starting at 10 a.m.; the meeting point is across from 100 Fraser Road in Gatineau. The cleanup is part of Earth Day and represents a wonderful opportunity to come together and contribute to the health of our environment.
The Alliance has been organizing these cleanup events for many years, and it is disheartening to see the amount of trash polluting the forest and the banks of the Ottawa River—trash that is so harmful to the local flora and fauna.
Join us this Sunday. All necessary equipment will be provided.
