Dedicated to assisting people through their spiritual path and to feel healthy, Align owner and Reiki Master Megan Elizabeth Driskell says her services focus on achieving personal growth, releasing stuck emotions, and finding inner balance. “During a Reiki session, you will experience an emotional release, a decrease in body pain and anxiety, and sometimes a loved one who has passed will come through with messages,” Driskell said, describing Reiki as a mental health service and relaxation method.
Providing a list of benefits, Driskell says that Reiki notably helps strengthen the immune system, relaxes muscles, and reduces stress. She added that it also helps reduce insomnia, strengthens one’s spiritual connections, and balances one’s body’s energy and chakras. Emphasizing that every session is different depending on the participant, her goal is to help expand people’s consciousness, bring healing into their lives, and offer guidance for the future. “My healing sessions focus on whatever is keeping you stuck in life,” Driskell explained. “We will focus on rebalancing the body, releasing past trauma, and bringing clarity to the mind.” Offering a variety of services along with full-body Reiki healing sessions, Align also provides Tarot card readings, Chakra balance, House cleansing, Animal Reiki, and a two-day level-1 Reiki training course.
Having practiced Reiki for eight years, Driskell says it changed her life – playing a vital role in helping her fight through her struggles with post-partum depression. She added that her family inspires her to use Reiki to bring happiness to the world. “Along this beautiful journey, I have learned a lot about myself and how to help others,” Driskell said.
Established around two years ago - starting off from inside her home before renting spaces in Old Aylmer - Driskell said her end goal with Align is to eventually turn it into a wellness centre.
