Thank you to the many volunteers who participated in our spring cleanup
On April 26, it was a beautiful spring day, and for the Alliance, it was also a day for our spring cleanup, an awareness activity to mark Earth Day. A big thank you to the 20 volunteers, including many young people, who responded to our invitation! Once again, in less than two hours, we collected a lot of trash of all kinds, including tires and scrap metal. Many participants were truly disappointed to see so much trash along the bike path and on the few trails leading to the oak grove in Deschênes Forest and to the Lamoureux Marsh.
A reminder: it is the responsibility of all users of these outdoor trails to take back everything you brought for your hike—including snack wrappers and containers—and for dog walkers, to always take home the bag of dog waste! These are simple but truly important actions for the conservation of this urban natural environment.
